Teaching Reiki to Crystal Children

Teaching Reiki to children started with my daughter Mayah. Or maybe it was her teaching me? Her openness and willingness to send healing energy to others has been eye opening to all who have seen her. She started at the once a month, Saturday healing group I take her to. Mayah has sent energy to people on the table, and has on occasion gotten on the table herself to accept healing from others. This is what opened me to consider teaching Reiki to the crystal children of the world. These children are already gifted with healing and psychic abilities, and it is our job as their parent, guardians, grandparents etc. to guide and assist them in understanding and exploring their gifts. Reiki is a perfect place to begin as it is simple and easy for children to learn.

Children can be easily attuned to Reiki and taught the simple basic hand positions for self healing and giving energy to others, their pets, plants and even their toys! It is very exciting for a child to feel the warm, tingling flow of energy going through their hands! Reiki allows them to feel the life force energy.

The practice of Reiki empowers children in caring for themselves and others. They learn self-care and self-reliance because they can use the energy to help themselves wherever they are at anytime. They also learn valuable lessons in compassion, because they are able to give healing energy to family, friends and their pets as they instinctively lay their hands on those that they want to help. Reiki can also be used to calm oneself and ease anxieties, during dentist or doctor visits and in school during testing or other situations.

Teaching one like my daughter requires a shorter session as a toddler has a shorter attention span. She needs lots of attention, an interaction with crayons to allow her to draw the symbols or at least attempt to draw them. My daughter is not a Reiki Master yet. But I have no doubt that she will become one if she chooses too. What I do encourage is that Reiki Masters consider teaching children the experience will be well worth the effort for you and the children. Remember the crystal children are here to teach us love, as well as to learn from us. I also recently learned I am not the only Reiki Master to consider teaching children Reiki.
